Custom Injection Molder, In-house Design, Paint, and Hydrographic Abilities
Jones Plastic’s offers a full service process in our engineering services, product design and integration, and contract manufacturing of a wide variety of injection-molded components and subassemblies. Using Pro/Engineer, our Application Development Engineers assist customer design teams with part designs and performance specifications. Other tools include Finite Element Analysis and Mold Filling Analysis. This upfront approach ensures low cost producibility, shorter lead-times, and significant savings on capital tooling dollars. We are happy to assist you with your project through any or all stages of the process.
Jones Plastic has full concept design capabilities with an Industrial Designer on staff. We can help you determine product requirements, and develop the overall impression of your product. Working through sketches and 3d mock-ups, your product will begin to come into focus as the concept is developed.
Once we have one or more suitable concepts, we will begin the rendering process. Using state-of-the-art software, we can apply photo-realistic materials, colors, textures and lighting to your product to give you a visual idea of the design.
As the concepts are firmed up, and CAD models are developed, we can run an FEA (finite element analysis) to simulate structural loading on your product. We can simulate a variety of load cases and/or materials to verify the design meets your needs.
As the designs are refined, we can create rapid prototypes via 3D printing or machining, create a small run of hand-poured cast-urethane parts from silicone molds, or even create a prototype injection mold to help verify the product in actual injection-molded materials before committing to the expense of production molds.
Our in-house team of tooling experts will work with you to ensure your production molds are capable of running as many parts as necessary, consistently and accurately.
Our five injection molding facilities in North America all have highly experienced production teams to ensure the molded parts will meet your timing and quality requirements.
Jones Plastic & Engineering is ready to automate your assembly process, using sensors to verify correct assembly, fully automated robotic glue-dispensing and screw-driving, several types of plastic welding (ultrasonic, hot-plate, and vibration), or even stress testing and leak testing.
We can decorate your products with a wide variety of processes, from something as simple as a sticker, to multi-color pad-printing, laser-etching, wet paint, and even hydrographics.
We can pack your product in anything from bulk packaging in cardboard, to returnable containers, kitting, and even retail packaging. We can also apply any necessary protection (film, tape, dividers, bags) to make sure your product arrives in perfect shape.
