Painting & Hydrographics

Connecting Painting and Hydrographics with Molding

Located adjacent to our Juarez Molding Division, the 180,000 sq. ft. paint and hydrographics facility features a 25,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled clean-room paint line. FANUC paint robots apply coatings to parts mounted on RFID-encoded racks carried by a floor-mounted conveyor system designed to minimize contamination.

Parts are processed through a 5-stage R.O. wash system, robotically flame-treated for adhesion, then coated with 1K adhesion promoter, 1K base coat, 1K pearl/mid coat, and 2K clear coat layers. RFID encoding on every rack enables automated color and program changes without line stoppage.

The hydrographics system features a large dip tank (1.3m, 1m and 0.5m film widths), capable of applying hundreds of decorative patterns to painted plastic parts. Each part is tracked by RFID through dipping, a 3-stage wash system, oven drying, and clear coat application.

Our on-site quality lab uses multi-angle spectrophotometers, surface finish wave scanners, and Keyence digital microscopes to verify color consistency and surface performance. A dedicated R&D lab allows us to prototype spray, dip, and wash processes before committing to production.
